Moral Dilemmas Part 2

I have been working with our 8th Grade Advisory Classes with decision making.  We are using different moral dilemmas as discussion starters.  I will continue to post different moral dilemmas here on my blog as we cover them in our classes.

A.  Three of your friends have created an offensive website that attacks a classmate and/or teacher.  The principal has called you in to find out who has done it and you are the only one with that information  Should you tell the principal what you know?  What are the possible outcomes?

B.  You have just won the award for the best short story in 8th grade.  However, you did plagiarize most of it.  Should you lie to your teachers/parents/classmates in order to receive the award or tell them the truth and give up the award?

C.  You hear your friends constantly using words that you, at times, feel offended by.  (Examples: “retarded,” “gay,” or other racial slurs)  Not only are you offended but you are afraid to be linked to these comments.  However, you know that if you tell anyone you risk of losing these friends that you have worked so hard to become friends with.  What do you do?
